Onsite Support Job Description

This position will handle the onsite load-ins, load-outs, and operation of gear during a project. The Onsite Support Tech is expected to see to completion varying sizes of projects across the country, where equipment and personnel will be required to support the client and/or event. Duties range across technical and professional functions and may include skilled and semi-skilled tasks. This is a contract position as part of our Operations team that reports directly to the Operations Manager. The position is a traveling position to and from onsite event locations.


Overview:

  • General idea of hours: 8-12 hours a day
  • Travel, lodging, and accommodations provided
  • Daily meal reimbursement
  • Rate: Starting at $250 a day

You would be provided with training prior to the event and have a direct line of contact with the Saffire support team.

Responsibilities:

  • Displaying professionalism and kindness towards all staff, vendors, and patrons.
  • Support the success of Saffire staff and clients in the deployment of Saffire or Blastpass product at events
  • Unpack/pack, configure, and deploy Saffire or Blastpass equipment as needed
  • Troubleshooting and supporting Saffire or Blastpass equipment
  • Provide training and customer service to managers, vendors, and event staff as needed
  • Communicate issues to the onsite team members
  • Assist staff with issues or direct them through their points of escalation
  • Perform duties in a safe and respectful manner

Qualifications

  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Good with technology, quick learner, problem solver
  • 1-2 years experience with live events and traveling
  • 1-2 years experiences with ticketing software and equipment setup
  • Experience working with Windows OS
  • Confident troubleshooting software and hardware issues
  • Work independently, exercising good judgment and initiative
  • Ability to work as a team player with Saffire team members and event staff
  • Flexible Schedule
  • Live near a major airport (under 1 hr drive)
  • Ability to work flexible and long hours
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate
  • Ability to follow instructions and troubleshooting steps
  • Ability to perform frequent physical work such as walking long distances, climbing stairs, lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds, moving, and bending
  • Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time

Job Application

Thank you for your interest in working as an independent contractor on Saffire's Onsite Support Team. Saffire has events throughout the year that need support with Saffire ticketing and/or Blastpass.

Events that require onsite support are an average of 5 days long. Please indicate your availability below if there are specific times of the year that you can work for 5 consecutive days. If your availability does not allow for 5 consecutive days on a consistent bases, you may not receive any events requests.

If your availability (and application) are a good fit for our client's events, you will receive an event request from a Saffire team member. If you are being referred by a Saffire employee or client please indicate that in additional information.
